The Pat Canadians faced another early season test against a strong Swift Current Legionnaire squad on Sunday. The Legion is expect to challenge for top spot again and will be a tough two points. This one started very conservative and there were few chances in the 1st and the teams were tied 0-0 after 20. The 2nd was a different story, as the Pat Cs erupted for 4 straight goals in the first half of the period before Swift Current responded. Maddox Schultz, Brady Vipond, Malaki Martin and Nathan Gardiner all scored in the frame. Vipond’s goal was his 1st AAA goal. After 2 periods, the Cs led 4-1. The third was again pretty conservative, as the Legion were the only team to score, a powerplay marker with 7:40 remaining and the Cs earned their 2nd victory of the season. Ben Meyer picked up his 2nd straight win.
