2026 Season Starts Saturday!

The Pat Canadians begin their quest to defend their Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League (SMAAAHL) championship on Saturday night when they host the Warman Wildcats at the Co-operators Centre.

Puck drop is set for 8:00 p.m. as the defending league champions open the 2026-27 season on home ice.

The Pat Canadians return a strong core from last year’s championship squad. Returning players include Adam Muntain, Logan Dosenberger, Kai Lanigan, Nathan Gardiner, Brodie Bowen, Brady Vipond, Mahlon Wiley, and Alan Han, providing valuable experience and leadership as the team looks to remain among the league’s elite.

Head Coach Ryan Hodgins will also welcome an exciting group of newcomers to the lineup.

The roster features four talented 17-year-olds making the jump to the Pat Canadians program, including Rhett Amberson, Rylan Worrall, Braxtyn Korol, and Jett Donison.

An impressive group of young players will also make their U18 AAA debut this season. The 15-year-old class includes Liam Rogers, Carter Bleau, Riley Rubidge, Nash Tomchuk, Jagger Korol, Roman Shynkaruk, Rylan Edwards, and Kelson Hawreluik.

The season opener pits the Pat Canadians against a familiar rival in the Warman Wildcats. Regina enjoyed success in the season series last year, posting a perfect 4-0 record against Warman. However, a new season brings new challenges, and the Wildcats will undoubtedly be looking to make an early statement against the defending champions.
